What is Con-Creto Molecular Sealer DPS?
It is a water-based molecular sealer that penetrates deep into concrete and reacts with free lime and alkalis. It forms insoluble calcium silicate crystals that block moisture from the inside, through the capillary pores, and lets the concrete breathe.

How it works

Before you apply
Four conditions for it to work well.
Concrete must absorb water
Pour a little water: if the concrete absorbs it, it is ready for the product.
No coatings
It must have no paint, epoxy or other coating on top.
Clean surface
Wash and remove contaminants and oil, for example with Deep-Kleen.
Cracks and moisture source
Repair cracks and first fix where the moisture enters (pipes, windows).
After applying
24 to 48 hours
Before applying regular, acrylic or elastomeric paint.
72 hours
Before epoxy or silicone paint or asphalt membranes.
Easy application
Applied with a low-pressure sprayer.
Limits and best practices

It does not repair corroded rebar
It stops moisture, but does not reverse existing damage.
Not for badly deteriorated concrete
If the concrete has lost its alkalinity and is too porous, it must be replaced.
Unplastered block
The pores are too large; it works on plastered masonry.

Easy to apply
Start when there is no film of water on the surface. On new concrete, the applicator can walk on it without leaving marks shortly after finishing.
Uniform curing
Helps concrete cure evenly, reducing hot spots and cracks and controlling drying at the edges.
No need to remove it
Molecular Sealer DPS does not have to be removed by sanding or grinding before applying topical coatings.
Lowers pH
Lowers the surface pH from about 12.5 to 8.5, creating a more stable surface that is ready for coatings.
Lowers relative humidity
Lowers the relative humidity at the surface to levels acceptable for applying coatings.
Coatings on new concrete
With less moisture at the surface, coatings can be applied after 21 days, on new concrete only.
Coatings on existing concrete
On existing slabs, coatings can be applied in as little as 24 hours. For epoxies, we recommend 72 hours or more.
Resists hydrostatic pressure
It resists and holds back the hydrostatic pressure of water.
Moisture under an industrial air handler
An industrial air handler was leaking moisture into the concrete floor. The moisture was removed and the floor was sealed with Con-Creto Molecular Sealer DPS.
